So the Force is strong with your child and your little one thinks he or she has what it takes to be a Jedi? Then the Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple at Hollywood Studios is just the thing for you are looking for. Let’s take a look at what the Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple is, who is eligible, and what it takes to reserve a spot for the Jedi Training Academy.
What is the Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple?
The academy is an interactive show for children. During the show a Jedi Master will train the young padawan to us the force. The training begins with group instruction on using the force. They will learn basic skills like the force push and fighting with the lightsaber.
After they have learned the basics they will have their loyalty to the force tested as either Darth Vader or Kylo Ren try to lure them to the Dark Side. Students will get to duel one of these two epic Star Wars villains.
Who is eligible for the Jedi Training Academy?
Children ages 4-12 are eligible for the training. Disney has been very strict about this requirement. So if your child is not in this age range do not get his or her hopes up. He or she can still watch and enjoy the show!
How do you reserve a spot for the Jedi Training Academy?
Guest must register to be part of the show. The show takes place multiple times per day and those who register will be given a time to return.
Registration starts the moment Hollywood Studios lets guests in. If you want your child to participate get to Hollywood Studios early (before the park opens early!) Registration is normally filled within an hour of opening and if first come first served.
When Disney starts letting people in stay to your left. Registration is between the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost and the 50’s Prime Time Cafe.
Everyone who wants to participate must be present at the time of registration. This means you cannot take your aspiring Jedi off to ride Toy Story Midway Mania while dad stands in line to register.
