Be Our Guest Changes to Prix Fixe Menu

In 2012 a new restaurant opened in Fantasyland, Be Our Guest. This restaurant was part of the New Fantasyland Expansion and since opening has become one of the most popular restaurants in all of Walt Disney World.

What makes Be Our Guest so popular

Be Our Guest, unlike many of the most popular dining locations, does not normally feature any characters for meet and greets. At dinner Beast normally makes an appearance but if your are looking to meet Belle you need to look elsewhere.

What makes Be Our Guest so popular is the location. The building resembles the castle in the popular Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast.

Advanced Dining Reservations are definitely recommended and good luck finding one! This may be the hardest reservation to get in all of Walt Disney World. Learn how to book your Advanced Dining Reservation here.

Be Our Guest Then

When Be Our Guest opened they served lunch and dinner. Unlike most Disney restaurants, however, lunch was Quick Service and dinner was Table Service. A quick service breakfast was added later when the restaurant proved so popular.

Be Our Guest has changed to a prix fixe menu for dinner.

How popular was it? Even for lunch guests lined up for a chance to get in many were turned away. The demand was so high that (in a first) Disney started accepting Advanced Dining Reservations for lunch and breakfast even though they were quick service. No matter which meal you want Advanced Dining Reservations are recommended (and I would almost say required.)

Lunch and breakfast were (and still) are moderately priced. They are a little more expensive than other Quick Service locations but not hugely so. They are both one Quick Service credit for those using the Disney Dining Plan.

Dinner was comparable to other Table Service locations and one was one Table Service Credit for those on the Disney Dining Plan.

Be Our Guest Now

On July 27th Disney upgraded the dinner menu at Be Our Guest. It is now a prix fixe experience (everyone pays the same price no matter what you choose.) It also went from one Table Service dining credit to two which makes it part of the Signature Dining Experiences at Walt Disney World. The price for adults is $55. The price for children (under 10) is $35.

That price includes an appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage. The beverage choices are your typical Coca-Cola products, tea, etc. You can also purchase non-alcoholic specialty drinks, beer or wine at an additional cost. For the official menu click here.

Is it worth that? That is up to you. Have you tried it (before or after the change?) Let us know in the comments.
