Animal Kingdom Coming To Life At Night
Animal Kingdom Coming To Life At Night! You heard it right. Two of Walt Disney World’s theme parks have become famous as half-day parks. Hollywood Studios is known as a half-day park because of the lack of attractions. Animal Kingdom is known as a half-day park because of a lack of attractions and the fact that it closes so early (often by five.)
Disney is addressing both of those situations. The big Pandora World of Avatar expansions will add two major attractions. But Disney is not stopping there. Disney is making keep the guests in the park after the sun goes down.
Part of that plan involves what might just be the most popular ride in the Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Kilimanjaro Safaris has always given guests a glimpse of some of the most popular animals from Africa. They are not just in cages though they are placed in areas made to resemble their natural habitat. Disney did such a good job you might actually believe you are in Africa.
Unfortunately the when the sun starts going down the Safaris stopped. The animals disappear and the Animal Kingdom loses one of its best attractions.
That will change in 2016 as the new Sunset Safaris take off from Harambe Village. Guests will get a new safari experience and while details are scarce Disney has let us know there will be hyenas and African wild dogs.
Rivers Of Light
Rivers of Light is something totally new. This experience will be comparable to Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios or Illuminations at Epcot.
The show will center around the Tree of Life and features lights and music. Below are two videos letting you get a glimpse of the Animal Kingdom Coming to Life at Night.
